Great family leaders dream big and help expand their families’ view of what’s possible. Twenty years ago I came up with a dream of being a professional coach who would have a chance to positively impact business leaders.
As the dream got bigger, it expanded to writing two books and creating over 50 videos that have been viewed 22,500 times. Just this week I was contacted by a family in Romania!

Start dreaming big if you aren’t already. It only takes one or two dreamers to help change the course of the family and the family business.
A couple of weeks ago I asked you to ask your family to stop and reflect upon how well they achieved their personal and professional goals for last year. Now, set aside time for everyone to express one or two goals for this year.
Do you ever get in the car and just drive aimlessly? Or do you decide upon a destination and map out your trip accordingly?
If we aren’t careful, we can get mesmerized by the snowstorm of the news, social media and streaming TV. When this happens, we stop paying attention to what matters most to us, where we want to go, and how we want to spend our time and energy.
January is a great time to step back and reset your sights for yourself and your family. Be bold and have some fun. Remember one of my favorite inspirational quotes from Norman Vincent Peale, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars!”
